Introduction to Song-Writing*
An ideal course for mastering the art of songwriting, especially as a way of expressing yourself on issues such as conflict and culture. The course involves team-work and integration which always proves to be a success and enjoyed by all. Using mind maps and other tools (including your own voice) we will be learning and addressing the following subjects:
- What are the components of a song?
- What makes a good song title and how do you turn words into lyrics?
- How to structure a song - learn about bars, choruses, verses, hooks and rhyming patterns
- Take em to the bridge (the middle 8)
- Recording your demo
- Write and record two songs for your own enjoyment or to perform on a live stage
- Performance techniques
- Finding collaborators
- The business of song writing
- How to make business contacts and network
- Handouts, visual aids and tasks for you to complete
- Obtain a certificate upon completion of the course.

Do you have a desire to be on stage but lack a bit of confidence? This course is specially designed to bring out your self-esteem so you can express yourself freely. Working alongside others in a comfortable, relaxed environment you will learn useful stage techniques to wow and captivate your audiences.
- Learn to prepare your body for performance – throat and diaphragm exercises, breath control techniques, improve strength, dexterity & stamina
